About the CGCS Ava Campus

Helping students prepare for lives and careers in the 21st Century

The CGCS Ava campus serves Ava and the surrounding communities with classes held at the Ava Middle School at 709 N.E. Third Street. The campus opened in 1997 with 7 students. Today, there are over 400 students enrolled, as well as academic advising, financial aid assistance, and career counseling. The town of Ava has a population of 3,000 and 80% of the 400 students attending the CGCS Ava campus are from the town of Ava. The success of the CGCS Ava campus is due to a combined effort of the Drury University community, the Ava business community, and the community of Ava itself.

A variety of general education, major requirement, and elective courses are offered each semester. Numerous associate degree programs are offered. Additionally, academic advising and financial aid advising is provided to the students.
