ASSET Test

For the full-time January 2010 academy:
October 16, 2009 at 6 p.m. &
October 17, 2009 at 9 a.m.

For the full-time August 19, 2010 academy:
June 17, 2010 at 6 p.m. &
June 19, 2010 at 9 a.m.

For the part-time September 13, 2010 academy:
July 9, 2010 at 6 p.m. &
July 10, 2009 at 9 a.m.

For the full-time January 2011 academy:
October 15, 2010 at 6 p.m. &
October 16, 2010 at 9 a.m.

Students applying for the law enforcement academy are tested on basic writing and reading skills. The ASSET Writing Skills Test measures a student's understanding of standard written English including punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, strategy, organization and style. The ASSET Reading Skills Test measures reading comprehension. Each test is 25 minutes long and multiple choice.

Testing sessions will be held in the academy classroom on Drury's campus in Springfield (map).

Pre-registration is required and a nonrefundable fee of $15 is due at the time of registration. This fee can be paid by cash, money order or cashier's check (payable to "Drury University"). No personal checks will be accepted. Students must bring a valid Missouri driver's license and black ink pen or a pencil to take the test.
