Communication Facilities

The communication department at Drury University is well equipped to provide training to students who choose a major within this field of study. The department currently contains an audio production lab, three video editing labs, a video non-linear editing lab and television studio space.

The Shewmaker Communication Center also is home to The Drury Mirror, Drury's student newspaper, KDRU, the student radio station, and DUTV, the university's cable channel. There is a student lounge for small group meetings as well as a conference room for seminars. The classrooms are equipped with video recording and playback equipment. The friendly environment of the facilities in the Shewmaker Communication Center, which opened in 1989, is conducive to close working relationships among faculty and students.
