Registration for more than 17 hours (13 in summer) is considered an academic overload. Students who wish to enroll for more than 17 semester hours (13 in summer) should have had a grade average of 3.0 or higher in the preceding semester and must obtain the approval of their academic advisor. Students with a grade average below 3.0 must obtain further approval from the Dean of the College.

Registration for more than 21 hours (16 in summer) is considered an excessive overload and will require prior approval by the Academic Affairs Committee.
