The Master in Education with Emphasis in Curriculum & Instruction is a new area of emphasis offered through cohort by Drury University's Master in Education programs that integrates instructional design and assessment for teachers working at the elementary, middle school or secondary levels. The Curriculum & Instruction program includes a core of 6 required professional education courses and 6 required emphasis courses. The Curriculum & Instruction program is designed for professional educators who are committed to children and their learning and already have Missouri Teacher Certification.
The Master in Education with Emphasis in Cross-Categorical Special Education is a cohort that prepares the special education teacher for planning and delivering instruction to school age students with mild/moderate disabilities in mental retardation, specific learning disabilities and emotional/behavioral disorders. The Cross-Categorical Special Education program is completed in 36 credit hours/12 courses. The Curriculum & Instruction program is designed for professional educators who are committed to children and their learning and already have Missouri Teacher Certification and wish to add an endorsement to serve mild/moderate, cross-categorical students in grades K-12.
