Student Employment for International Students

On-Campus Employment:
F-1 day students are eligible to accept on-campus employment if they are pursuing a full course of study. On-campus jobs are posted through the Human Resources Office in Bay Hall. J-1 students must consult with their Responsible Officer for permission to accept any employment.

Off-Campus Employment:
Immigration regulations prohibit all types of off-campus employment without specific authorization. A F-1 student in good academic and immigration standing may request authorization for off-c ampus work only after being a full-time student for one academic year and meeting other qualifications.
Consult with the International Student Advisor for specific information. Any unathorized off-camus work is illegal and subject to strict penalties, including deportation.

Practical Training:
This is a special type of work permission is designed to provide you experience in work related to your course of study. Consult with the International Student Advisor for specific procedures.
