About the Physics Program

Major & Minor Offered

The Drury physics department is strongly student oriented. A complete range of courses is offered for a major and a minor, helping students preparing for graduate study in physics, math or engineering, an industrial position, the teaching profession, or for professional careers in law and medicine.

The physics faculty has wide and varied backgrounds. Their research interests include the study of moons and their orbits, orbital debris modeling and planetary ring dynamics, monitoring of nuclear testing agreements, energy consumption of buildings and astronomy. Additionally, our physics facilities are well equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory equipment.

If your interest is in science and technology, yet are undecided as to what articular field you would like to pursue, Physics is the perfect choice.
