The Master in Education for Secondary Teachers program of study is designed for persons who want to improve their effectiveness as instructional leaders and already have Missouri Teacher Certification.  The Secondary Education program is developed around the 5 Core Propositions of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and utilizes many of the assessment strategies associated with the National Board Certification process.

Students complete a core of professional education courses as well as specialized course work related to their area of teacher certification. The objective of the Secondary Education program is to strengthen both the content knowledge and the ability of the teacher to help students learn.
