About the Graduate Programs at Drury University

Drury University, founded in 1873, is an institution of higher education with programs characterized by a focus on preparing students for satisfying and successful lives and careers. The programs prepare students for professional careers through careful attention to a liberal arts education and the integration of liberal arts education into professional preparation. Drury is particularly noted for its attention to excellence in teaching.

The College of Graduate & Continuing Studies (CGCS) offers master degree programs in Education, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Communication, and Business Administration. Additionally, CGCS offers post-baccalaureate online certificate programs in Instructional Mathematics K-8, Instructional Technology, Terrorism: Issues & Analysis, and Web Design. To accommodate the working schedules of busy professionals, classes are offered primarily in the evening and online at the Drury campus in Springfield as well as at our 7 branch campuses in Southwest Missouri (Ava, Cabool, Ft. Leonard Wood, Lebanon, Rolla, St. Robert Annex, and Thayer).

The graduate programs, like the undergraduate programs, have a commitment to meeting the needs of each student in the program. Faculty members work closely with students to help identify their needs and career goals and to make the education serve those needs and goals. The commitment of Drury University is to provide the opportunity for a close relationship between faculty members and students in the interest of allowing each student to achieve his or her greatest potential.

The Springfield campus is a blend of historic and contemporary buildings. The Olin Library contains more than 175,000 print works with access to millions more through a statewide network; a rare book collection and several classrooms. Library privileges and services are available to those at off-campus sites. The Findlay Student Center (FSC) is home to the Commons (cafeteria-style dining), the Campus Bookstore, and the Career Center. Springfield Hall offers convenient copy and postal services at Carbon Copy, food at the Campus Exchange (CX), and numerous technology labs with 24/7 assistance.

The Graduate Programs Office is located in Shewmaker, Room 101. We invite you to stop by for assistance in registration, to meet with an advisor, or pick up a print catalog. For further information, please contact us at (417) 873-6948 or grad@drury.edu.
