The beauty and history of the “Old City” section of Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart, has earned it a UNESCO world heritage site designation. Courses taught by University of Redlands professors explore intellectual and cultural history as revealed in literature, art and music. Academic insights are enriched by tours with the faculty through Austria, Greece and Italy. Study of the German language and the European Union completes the academic offering and tie it to the site in Salzburg. There are no language requirements. Students may begin or continue German Language study during the program. Music majors can apply to study “Applied Music.” They will be tutored by a member or associate of the world famous Mozarteum faculty. Students live together in a 450-year-old castle known as the Marketender-schlossl. This program is available in the Fall semester.
The Salzburg, Austria program is offered through the Associated New American Colleges Study Abroad Consortium (ANACSA). Students would take a leave of absence from Drury and scholarships and financial aid from Drury would not apply. The application deadline for the Fall program is March 1. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Space is limited. If you are interested in submitting an application for one of the programs listed below, please contact:
