COACH REYNOLDS ON ISMAEL: Is a kid who did not live up to his expectations at nationals last season. We feel he has a tremendous amount of talent and we have to make sure we bring it out of him this year. If we are going to have a chance to repeat Ismael needs to play a key role and score more points for us at nationals.

DRURY HIGHLIGHTS: Was on the national champion 200 and 400 medley relay teams in 2005…Placed seventh in the 100 free as a freshman and sophomore…Was 10th in the 50 free and eleventh in the 200 free as a freshman.

NOTEWORTHY: Son of Abraham and Auna Rose de Ortiz…Born October 22, 1982…Is a Design and Fine Arts major…In 2004 competed in the Olympic Trials where he recorded a lifetime best time of 51.74 in the 100 free…Holds 10 Panamerican records…Recorded best time in Central America in the 100 free from 2001-04.
