Drury University is providing you with information from the Centers for Disease Control about the meningitis disease and the availability of the meningococcal vaccine. By providing this information to you, Drury University is in compliance with the education component of the new Missouri State Law, SB 0686 that applies to all public universities. As a private institution, Drury has also chosen to adhere to this new ruling.
Please read the information from the Centers for Disease Control. All students who sign housing contracts will be required to sign a Menginococcal Vaccine Tracking document prior to receiving their housing key. This document will give you the option of:
· Stating that you have received the education material and have chosen not to receive the vaccine at this time.
· Provide the Drury University housing office with the date of receiving the meningitis vaccine.
This information will be forwarded to the Panther Clinic.
If you would like to inquire about receiving the vaccine in Springfield, it is available at the Westside Public Health Center. You may contact them directly for further information or to make an appointment: (417) 874-1220.
