Issue Ten of the Bonfire Released!

Join in the celebration on April 29

Poetry, fiction, art, and for the first time, music. That’s right, the newly completed tenth edition of the Bonfire, Drury’s student-run literary journal, will be released Thursday, April 29 at the English Department's spring party. The party will begin at 7 PM on the third floor of Pearsons Hall. Snacks will be served.

For the first time the journal includes a CD with music from campus musicians, lyrics tucked in the front cover. Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, featured on the CD, will play at the party.

The festivities at the release party also include readings by Drury students, a celebration of the publication of Dr. Resa Willis’ new book as well as the presentation of an excerpt from an English honors project. This event is free and open to the Drury community.

Issue ten features work from students Nathaniel Carroll, Daniel Pyle, Megan Kurtz, Jack Wintermann, Laurene DeBord-Foulk, Meg Myers, Brittany Leckey, Rebecca Norris, V.L. Lurvey, Sarah Jenkins, Rodrigo Pantoga and Brian Cubic; it features poetry from Tenoha Rogers Eager, Stacy Shoemake, Marcie Rich, Adam Smith, Jandyn Markham, Todd Osbern, Elliesha Crisco, Rachel Dalloway, Amy Strickland, Adam Scott, Brooks Johnson, Amanda N. Smith, Patrick Muehlman, Elise Winn, Brian Cubic, Alicia Bergfeld, Elizabeth Slawson, Sarah Thomas, Daniela Torres and Jon McIntosh.
