About Languages

The curriculum of the department of languages is designed to introduce all Drury students to selected languages of the world and their cultural and literary traditions. Beginning language courses that meet the university’s CORE requirement for foreign language are those that instruct in and assess five skills: reading, writing, speaking, listening and cultural literacy. Language majors are prepared for graduate studies and also for careers in a variety of fields including teaching, international business and foreign service. The department offers majors and minors in French and Spanish.

Apply now to live in the Foreign Languages House in 2015-2016. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on February 13th. More information and the application can be found here.
