Internet & Cable Service
All students have access to the Internet via WiFi or network jack and expanded basic cable television either in their bedroom or in their apartment living room.
If residents want access to our services they are responsible for providing Ethernet cords or computers with wireless cards (for internet) and TVs with a QAM tuner and co-axial cords (for cable service). Students may purchase TVs without QAM tuners, but they will need to rent or purchase a special digital adapter (details below).
Cable TV and Internet for Jefferson Park West (1225 N. Jefferson) and Midtown Houses
Midtown houses include 1224 N. Summit, 1302 N. Summit, 1202 N. Jefferson, 1225 N. Robberson, and 1316 N. Benton.
Expanded basic cable service via Mediacom is provided; however if your TV was manufactured before March 2007 or was manufactured without a QAM digital tuner, you will need a QAM tuner to get all the channels. If you prefer to rent an adapter rather than purchase a digital adapter, you can visit Mediacom (Drury’s cable provider) at 1533 S. Enterprise or the ice park downtown. If you go to Mediacom to get a digital adapter, be sure to bring your driver’s license and know your Drury mailing address.
Mediacom channel listings are available on the cable directory. If you have an older TV with the digital adapter, refer to the lists at the top for Local Plus and Local Family options. If you have a digital TV, then scroll to the bottom and see the Digital-Ready Local Plus and Family options. After plugging your TV in with a co-axial cable, run automatic channel search.
For non-Apogee cable television problems, contact the Technology Services Help Desk at firstname.lastname@example.org or (417) 873-7300. Be specific about the problem you are having (i.e. no signal with an adapter/TV with QAM tuner, pixelation, etc).
For problems with Drury Internet service, please contact the Technology Services Help Desk at (417) 873-7300 or e-mail email@example.com during business hours.
Cable TV and Internet for All Other Locations
Drury has partnered with Apogee to provide cable TV and ResNet for housing locations previously on the Drury network. In order to connect up to 7 devices to the Internet, students will need to set up a MyResNet account with Apogee and then add their devices.
In order to access the digital cable TV service (which includes HBO), make sure you your TV has the appropriate QAM tuner. After connecting your TV to the wall with a co-axial cable, run automatic channel search.
Apogee technical support is available 24/7, 365 days a year!
