Internet & Cable Service

All residents will have access to the Internet via WiFi. Cable TV service is available in some housing options (see below for details).

If residents want access to our services they are responsible for providing computers with wireless cards (for internet) and TVs with a QAM tuner and co-axial cords (for cable service). Students may purchase TVs without QAM tuners, but they will need to rent or purchase a special digital adapter (details below). The Drury bookstore now sells QAM tuners.  

A majority of campus housing has cable TV service and ResNet Internet provided by a company called Apogee. However, some the Midtown houses have Internet provided by a local residential provider, but managed by the Drury Help Desk (see below for addresses). Drury's Help Desk is open M-F 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and can reached at 417-873-7300 or help@drury.edu.   

Apogee cable & ResNet locations provide each resident with option to connect up to 7 devices to the Internet. At move-in, students will need to set up a MyResNet account with Apogee and then add their devices. In order to access the digital cable TV service (which includes HBO), make sure you your TV has the appropriate QAM tuner. After connecting your TV to the wall with a co-axial cable, run an automatic channel search. Technical support for Apogee locations is available 24/7, 365 days a year.

Details by location:

Residence halls: Smith, Wallace, and Sunderland are on Apogee and have ResNet and cable TV service. Each residence hall room is equipped with one cable jack.

College Park: On the Apogee network and has ResNet and cable TV service. The living room and each bedroom in each unit have a cable jack.

Jefferson Park West: Early in the fall semester of 2018, will join the Apogee network for ResNet. Cable TV service is not provided.

Jefferson Park North & South: On the Apogee network and has ResNet and cable TV service. Each unit has a cable jack in the living room and one in each bedroom.

Manley Hall: On the Apogee network and has ResNet and cable TV service. Each unit has a cable jack in the living room and one in each bedroom. Please be aware that Manley living rooms may have two cable jacks in the living room, but only one is live. If you do not get cable in one jack, try the other before reporting an outage.

Summit Park: On the Apogee network and has ResNet and cable TV service. The living room and each bedroom in each unit has a cable jack.

Fraternity houses: On the Apogee network and has ResNet and cable TV service. Main living areas and bedrooms have a cable jack.

University Suites: On the Apogee network and has ResNet and cable TV service.Main living areas and bedrooms have a cable jack.

Patterson House: Has internet through a local residential company, supported by the Drury Help Desk. Cable TV service is not provided. 

Midtown houses: Due to the fact that these houses are spread throughout the neighborhood, their services vary.

    • 1238 N. Jefferson - Has ResNet, but will get Apogee cable TV service early in the fall 2018 semester
    • 410 E. Calhoun - Has ResNet, but will get Apogee cable TV service early in the fall 2018 semester
    • 416 E. Calhoun - Has ResNet, but will get Apogee cable TV service early in the fall 2018 semester
    • 517 E. Calhoun - Has ResNet, but will get Apogee cable TV service early in the fall 2018 semester
    • 1126 N. Summit - Has both ResNet and Apogee cable TV service.
    • 1202 N. Jefferson - Will get both ResNet and Apogee cable TV service early in the fall 2018 semester
    • 1225 N. Robberson - Will have Internet through a local residential company early in the fall 2018 semester, supported by Drury Help Desk
    • 1316 N. Benton - Has Internet through a local residential company, supported by Drury Help Desk
    • 1224 N. Summit - Has Internet through a local residential company, supported by Drury Help Desk 
    • 1302 N. Summit - Has Internet through a local residential company, supported by Drury Help Desk
