Internet & Cable Service

All students have access to the Internet via WiFi or network jack and expanded basic cable television either in their bedroom or in their apartment living room.

If residents want access to our services they are responsible for providing Ethernet cords or computers with wireless cards (for internet) and TVs with a QAM tuner and co-axial cords (for cable service). Students may purchase TVs without QAM tuners, but they will need to rent or purchase a special digital adapter (details below).

Cable

Expanded basic cable service is provided; however if your TV was manufactured before March 2007 or was manufactured without a QAM digital tuner, you will need a QAM tuner to get all the channels. If you prefer to rent an adapter rather than purchase a digital adapter, you can visit Mediacom (Drury’s cable provider) at 1533 S. Enterprise or the ice park downtown. If you go to Mediacom to get a digital adapter, be sure to bring your driver’s license and know your Drury mailing address.

Channel listings are available on the cable directory. If you have an older TV with the digital adapter, refer to the lists at the top for Local Plus and Local Family options. If you have a digital TV, then scroll to the bottom and see the Digital-Ready Local Plus and Family options.

For cable television problems, contact the Housing Office at 417-873-7654 or e-mail housing@drury.edu. Be specific about the problem you are having (i.e. no signal with an adapter/TV with QAM tuner, pixelation, etc).

Internet
In order for devices to connect to Drury's network, they must be able to connect to an Enterprise WPA.  Smartphones, laptops, Kindles, Nooks, and other tablets are compatible, but Rokus, game consoles, SmartTVs, wireless printers, wireless DVRs/BluRay/DVD players are not. For problems with Internet service, please contact the Technology Services Help Desk at 417-873-7300 or e-mail help@drury.edu
