2016 Freshman First Day Schedule

 

8:30–10 a.m.

- Campus departments will be available to provide information and answer questions.
- Note: Most of these offices and departments will also be available to assist families from 3-5 p.m. during the check-out process.

Academic Presentation Sessions
- Students and families should plan to attend two presentations, based on academic interests. Students and families may divide up in order to gain knowledge about as many academic departments as possible.

12–1:45 p.m.

Lunch Available for Family Members
Findlay Student Center, Commons
- Students will have lunch during CORE 101 class.

12:45–1:45 p.m.

Lunch and CORE 101 Class (students only)

1:30–4 p.m.

Presentations on Academics & Student Life
Lay Hall and Olin Library, various room locations
- Select one presentation from each session. Students and families may divide up in order to attend more presentations. Each session will last 25 minutes.

- Faculty expectations in the classroom

Session 5 (3:30-3:55)
- Student wellness and fitness programs; Intramural and club sports
- Information for Drury student-athletes

Check Out Available
O'Reilly Family Event Center, Banquet Room
- Before leaving campus: submit required forms and paperwork; students complete an event evaluation; parents and students select gifts; have all your last-minute questions answered.

Schedule Changes
O'Reilly Family Event Center, Private Game Suites
- Meet with Academic Planning and the Registrar's Office for any fall schedule registration questions or to add/drop classes.
