EAP: Instructors

Natalie Opitz

Natalie has been a resident of Springfield, MO since 1978, so even though she was not born here, she considers herself a Springfield native.  She and her husband have raised four children here and have seen Springfield change and grow into a more diverse and cosmopolitan city.

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a French minor from Missouri State University (MSU).  Eight years ago, she chose to pursue a Master of Arts in English with a TESOL Emphasis degree at MSU because of an interest in other cultures and languages.

She currently teaches ENGL 117 Reading and ENGL 110 Oral Communication. Additionally, she is a part-time instructor for a variety of English courses at MSU for the International Leadership and Training Center, (ILTC) program.


Elizabeth Stoyeff 

Elizabeth is a native of Missouri and lives on a little farm outside of Springfield. She loves all things that have to do with writing. Her favorite genres of writing are academic writing and creative nonfiction. She also love the outdoors and enjoy playing recreational sports and exploring nature.

She has a Bachelor of Science in English from Evangel University, an Master of Arts in Writing from Missouri State University, and a Certificate in TEFL from Evangel University. She currently teaches ENGL 111 Writing & Research and ENGL 115 Intensive English.
