Five to Thrive: Exercise

Exercise focuses on the continuation and expansion of exercise classes and general campus fitness. Exercise is necessary for your overall health and wellness. Drury Wellness Department works to offer diverse activity classes to help you achieve recommended physical activity. Exercise also includes the goal of renovating Weiser Gymnasium into an improved wellness, fitness and recreation center.

Exercise Tips

  • Walking 10,000 steps a day can help improve your fitness; try using a pedometer to track your steps
  • Both aerobic and resistance training are important to your overall health and weight maintenance
  • Flexibility is important at every age to prevent falls and injuries
  • Variety is the spice of life; try new things that are fun and will keep you active
