Aigina, Greece: A Global Business Perspective

The study abroad trip to Greece includes two weeks on the beautiful island of Aigina and 5-7 days in Athens. The 6 hours of courses, MGMT 390 International Business – Field Study and MGMT 321 Legal Environment of Business will be relevant to both business and non-business majors as we explore business operations in Aigina and Athens. The trip will provide hands on experience with global opportunities and challenges as students learn about the cultural, economic and political/legal environment of Greece. All of this while living on the island community of Aigina and then exploring the ancient and modern sites in the Greek capital of Athens.

Date of Travel: May 19 – June 9, 2013
Program Fee*: $4256 per student
Tuition for 6 credit hours: approx. $1,377 per student
Personal Expenses**:  approx. $1000 per student

Total Approximate Cost: $6,633.

First Non-Refundable Deposit: $500 due Oct 1, 2012
Second Non-Refundable Deposit: $500 due Nov 1, 2012
Third Non-Refundable Deposit: $1000 due Dec 1, 2012
Fourth Non-Refundable Deposit: $1000 due Feb 1, 2013
Remaining Non-Refundable Balance: $1256 due March 15, 2013

Prices are subject to the fluctuation in the value of the U.S. dollar on foreign markets. Student expenses are subjected to modifications.

* Program fee includes: airfare (Springfield, KC or St. Louis depending on ticket costs at time of travel), transportation to and from Athens airport and around Aigina when on group projects (lunches will be provided when working on projects and 3 group evening meals as well as breakfast at the hotel in Athens), lodging, health insurance through HTH, entrance fees to museum s and archeological sites for course field trips, administrative costs, taxes, tips and gratuities for lodging and program meals.

**Personal expenses include: transportation to and from airport (Springfield, KC or St. Louis depending on ticket costs at time of travel), passport fee, passport photos, meals (lunches will be provided when working on projects and 3 group evening meals. Breakfast in Aigina and other evenings will be the student’s responsibility approx. $500), personal items and souvenirs. The Drury Aigina apartments are fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, etc. Students can save on food costs by taking advantage of this equipment.
