CEA Study Abroad

International Studies Abroad (ISA)

ISA is a leading non-profit provider of study abroad programs to Australia and New Zealand. Having sent over 9,000 students abroad in the last 14 years, ISA strives to offer programs that are both academically and culturally enriching for students. The process of direct enrollment at foreign institutions can often be cumbersome and complicated – ISA provides the full range of services to assist students with the process of preparing for a successful abroad experience through the ISA Four Points of Focus:

  1. Guaranteed Service
  2. Time and Money Savings
  3. Academic Support
  4. Exciting Additions to your Program

ISA strives to be responsive to individual students by offering 26 varied and interesting study abroad sites in Australia and New Zealand. Regional Directors meet face to face with students across the nation and our in-office counselors are trained to service only 3 – 4 overseas programs in order to provide the best advice to participants. We are known as the “personable” program where there are no silly questions or concerns.

ISA believes that cultural integration is key even when students select an English-speaking destination where no foreign language is required. Cultural integration is a cornerstone of our program management whereby we supply extensive pre-trip information, counseling and support, house our students with New Zealand and other international students, almost without exception, and allow our group to participate in campus activities versus American group activities during free time.

Institut d'Etudes Francaises de Touraine

Our Mission: Institut de Touraine has been teaching French language and culture to generations of young and adult students and French teachers since 1912. This long-standing tradition of study in Touraine is above all a shared history. In the space of a century, several generations of teachers have taught more than 200,000 students over periods of several weeks, months or a whole year. All that represents countless memories, shared joys and new experiences. Beyond the quality of our programs, total immersion in French society is always a tremendous way of accelerating the learning process. The Institute, a multinational and multicultural establishment open all year round, has the good fortune to be able to welcome students from over 80 countries every year. This unique environment lets everyone interact and discover a shared language: French. “Half the world ignores how the other half lives”. This famous saying of François Rabelais (1483-1553), the great writer and native of Touraine, is still topical – a paradox, since the development of means of communication and international exchanges should on the contrary help us better understand other cultures. At Institut de Touraine, we do our utmost day after day, with the benevolent complicity of the students, to give the lie to François Rabelais. We look forward to welcoming you here !

Santa Reparata International School of Art

The mission of SRISA is to provide students with opportunities for artistic, academic, and personal growth in an environment that will develop their understanding of what it means to be a part of a dynamic artistic and academic community with the influence of an international setting.

The school’s goal is to encourage purposeful inquiry, fruitful dialog, and creative experimentation as essential tools for students in the 21st century. SRISA seeks to foster this goal through accessible, rigorous, and meaningful learning experiences that emphasize:

The discipline and the passion vital to participation in the arts The skills and techniques essential to mature artistic expression The value of excellence in academic and artistic endeavor The contributions of Italian art and culture, and their impact on the artistic traditions of the western world A “liberal arts” education, which provides broad exposure to a variety of places, ideas, and perspectives The development of the judgment, social skills, and maturity necessary to live in a community that differs, sometimes greatly, from the community of one’s origin.

SRISA believes that a balanced curriculum of studio art courses and academic courses provides the most comprehensive experience for students who have chosen Florence as their place of study. Course offerings in liberal arts and culture complement the studio disciplines to provide students with an intellectual framework and historical context for their creative work. Within each discipline, course activities present a combination of traditional approaches and new technologies for the pursuit of artistic ideas. SRISA is committed to providing a well-trained professional faculty and excellent facilities to give students highly personalized instruction that conforms to the expectations and requirements of an American university curriculum.
