Dan has a diverse background in communication, ranging from working as a member of the media, to corporate and nonprofit communication. He taught communication and leadership courses as an adjunct instructor from 2007-2010. In June 2011, he became a full-time faculty member of the Department of Communication.
He volunteers for several area nonprofit groups, including CASA, the Carol Jones Recovery Center for Women, and the Pregnancy Care Center. His passion is to help these organizations be better at achieving their missions, and to engage students in this type of work. His research is in the area of child abuse/neglect and domestic violence.
