Associate of Science in General Studies Program

The College of Continuing Professional Studies offers an associate of science in general studies. The program is ideal for students who plan to seek a bachelors degree at some point in the future, and want to complete their general education requirements before committing to an academic major. This program also serves adult learners who seek a foundation of knowledge in the liberal arts.

Associate of Science in General Studies Curriculum

In addition to general education requirements, students pursuing the associate of science degree in general studies are required select 18 hours as an area of concentration in one of the three fields of knowledge:

Science and Mathematics, such as:
Biology
, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Mathematics, Physics

Humanities and Fine Arts, such as:
Art
, Art History, English, Philosophy, Religion

Social Sciences, such as:
Business Administration, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology
