We’d love to share more about your professional success with our current and future students – please describe your career path to this point as well as your current profession:
After graduation, I accepted a job in graphic design and was later promoted to an email marketing role. I then moved onto a few other marketing/social media jobs before I decided it was time to transition into an agency environment. I truly believe I have found a great company with a great appreciation for its employees where I can learn and grow within the field of email marketing!
How did your experiences in the Breech School of Business prepare you for your professional career?
My Breech classes gave me a very comprehensive snapshot of all the skills needed to succeed in my career field. I often find myself referencing my Breech years and the wisdom of my professors when trying to solve problems.
Were there any specific courses or areas of study that were especially useful to you?
I think my classes that discussed business ethics have had the most lasting impact on my career path. Having a solid idea of what kind of company I wanted to work for gave me the courage and confidence to eventually find a place that I truly respect.
Do you have any favorite memories inside the Breech building?
One time, when I was having a particularly rough day, Dr. Rohlf gave me a hug and some encouraging words...whether or not he admits it. :-) It made all the difference in the world to know that the professors do care about their students’ lives as much as their studies.
What advice would you offer to a new student beginning their course of study in the Breech School of Business?
Take advantage of the many amazing resources that Breech has to offer! Although I learned a great deal in my classes, it was my interactions with the faculty outside the classroom that were truly motivating. The professors really believe in their students and it was this encouragement that gave me the willpower to demand success for myself after graduation.
