Who Can Utilize Counseling Services?
Any enrolled full-time day student at Drury University may use our services. The services provided by Counseling Services are free, voluntary, and confidential.
What Happens Next?
During the first session, you and the counselor will explore your current concerns and discuss the changes you desire. Together with your counselor, you will decide if Counseling Services is the best resource available to meet your needs and help you achieve your goals.
Most students opt to continue with individual or group counseling through Counseling Services. Counseling Services is generally able to provide short-term counseling of up to 10-15 sessions. Referrals to off-campus resources may be necessary for intensive, specialized or long term counseling.
What about Confidentiality?
Counseling Services staff regards your contact with us and the issues you discuss as private and confidential. We will not share information with anyone outside of Counseling Services staff without your informed consent.
The only exceptions to this policy occur in specific instances involving danger or serious harm to you or others, child and elder abuse and by court order. Please read the Policy on Confidentiality and read the Client's Bill of Rights.
