Counseling Services Self-Help Resources
This section of the Counseling Services website offers you online brochures and links to a variety of health and mental health related information. While we have reviewed all of these websites and found them useful, we cannot affirm the validity and accuracy of all the material on each of these sites.
Self-help resources such as these can be valuable along with work you are doing in individual counseling or support group facilitated by a counseling professional. However, we do not recommend self-help resources as the only source of treatment for significant mental health concerns.
Online resources are not meant to and cannot replace the specialized training and professional judgment of a health care or mental health professional. You should always consult a trained mental health professional before making any decision regarding treatment choice or changes. You should not discontinue treatment or medication without first consulting your physician, clinician, or therapist.
