Alcohol Education Program
CHOICES is a brief alcohol abuse prevention and harm reduction program for college students involving interactive journaling. The CHOICES program involves a two-hour class. Throughout the course students are presented with information and then they are able to reflect on what they have learned as it relates to their choices about drinking in their personal journals.
The CHOICES program is presented in a non-confrontational manner that enables students to make their own decisions about alcohol consumption. Because the central focus of this program is to help students make informed choices, the journal is set up to provide participants with information and then they are asked to apply what they have learned in a series of self-reflective questions.
IMPORTANT: Please be certain of your referral before proceeding. This registration form is to be used for CHOICES only. Please refer to the "complete by" date on your sanction letter in order to choose the appropriate class.
PLEASE NOTE: A fee will be charged at time of registration for all programs that are a result of a disciplinary or court sanction. Please refer to the registration form for more information on the fee and deadline. If you miss the class for which you have registered, you must reschedule and will be charged for the missed class in addition to your re-scheduled class.
If this is a self-referral, there is no fee.
All CHOICES classes begin promptly on time in the Findlay Student Center, Room 204, unless otherwise notified by a Drury Counseling Services staff member. For questions about the CHOICES program please contact us at 417-873-7418 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
