About the CCPS Advertising/Public Relations Program

The Communications Program at the College of Continuing Professional Studies offers a bachelors of science advertising/public relations. The major was designed with the realization that technology, as well as societal and economic conditions, will cause the industry to evolve and career opportunities to change. For this reason, all advertising/public relations courses attempt to emphasize disciplined, analytical thinking and a reflective attitude toward industry practice. Account manager, copywriter, event planner, media relations, and corporate public affairs are a few of the career opportunities in advertising/public relations.

The advertising/public relations major requires 42 hours of coursework in the following distribution:
