Drury intramural flag football offers a fun and competitive environment for all skill levels. Games consist of two (2) 20-minute halves. Teams must have at least 5 players to start a game, with no more than seven on the field at one time. Winning teams will advance through playoff games with one team winning the championship title.
Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times during the event. Opposing teams must be in opposite colors (light vs. dark) so to not create confusion for the participants or the referees. Pennies will be provided by the intramural department or teams can choose to wear their own jerseys but they all must match to the referee's discretion. No article of clothing may cover any portion of a player’s flags. Jerseys must remain tucked in the pants/shorts during the entire down. Any hood on a coat, sweatshirt, or shirt that does not remain tucked-in is illegal. In outdoor sports, no metal cleats will be allowed. The referee or supervisor has the authority to disallow any footwear that they deem dangerous.
Most intramural competitions will be held on Harrison Stadium on the campus of Drury University. This turf facility allows for multiple sports to be played year round. The field is lit so competitions can run past dark. In most cases multiple games will be held at one time because of the size of this complex.
Sunderland is a grass field that is located on campus as well. It will be used on rare occasions when Harrison is unavailable. Some extra events may take place off campus if the event deems necessary.
