Student Receives Archasm Honorable Mention

HSA fifth-year student Quoc Trung Huynh and friend, Huy Pham, have received an honorable mention for their entry to Archasm's spring 2017 “Schools Without Classrooms” competition.

Archasm, a website devoted to sponsoring and publishing international architectural competitions, held "Schools Without Classrooms" to challenge participants to rethink the modern-day classroom. The competition asked for the design of a middle school (age group 5-12) that "completely negates the present day ‘bench-table-chalkboard’ idea of a classroom and a regularized building typology of a school".

A total of 406 international teams entered with only 3 top-prize winners 10 honorable mentions.
