Walter N. (Walt) George III is president of G3 Consulting, LLC in Fairway, Kansas. He retired in 2013 as president of The American Italian Pasta Company and corporate vice president of Ralcorp Holdings. He serves as corporate board director for Freshpet; Old World Spice and Seasonings, Inc.; Integrated Animal Health, LLC; and Vision Bank. He also serves as chairman of the Board of Trustees at Coker College and Morris Animal Foundation.
Walt graduated from Drury with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1979, majoring in sociology and communication studies, and completed his education with an MBA from Rockhurst University. While at Drury, Walt was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. He received a Drury Distinguished Alumni Award in 2010, and is a past member of the Breech Advisory Board.
Walt’s family has a long tradition of ties to Drury starting with his great grandfather, Joseph Henry George, who served as Drury’s 5th president in the early 1900s. Other Drury relatives include mother, Mary George ’47; brother, Joseph George ’72; and brother, Francis George ’80.
Walt and his wife, Susan (Robison) George ’80, live in Fairway, Kansas. They have two adult children, a daughter, Lindsey (George) Vickery ’04, and a son, Chip.
